A little bit about me

🐾 The Story Behind Debbie's Joyful Paws 🐾

People often ask how Debbies Joyful Paws began... and it all started with a lifelong love of animals. ❤️

From a young age, I've been surrounded by animals. My first pet was a hamster, followed by rabbits and of course, dogs. Caring for animals has always been a huge part of my life, and over the years I've also been trusted to care for friends', neighbours and family's dogs, cats and other small animals.

Over the past 20 years, I've shared my life with my own dogs, caring for them from playful puppies through to their senior years. Every stage has taught me something new and given me invaluable experience in understanding the changing needs of our pets.

More recently, I adopted Harry, an extremely nervous and frightened 9-month-old Labrador who hadn't had the best start in life, from the Labrador Rescue Trust. Through patience, consistency and lots of love, watching him grow over the past 4 years, into the happy, confident and loving dog he is today has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. It was Harry who inspired me to create Debbies Joyful Paws.

Today, as well as caring for my own dogs, I also provide kind, reliable and compassionate care for dogs, cats and small animals. Whether your pet is a lively puppy, an independent cat, a small furry friend or a senior companion who needs a little extra care and patience, I treat every animal as if they were my own.
